mod.livejournal.comAs Alberto and his pack performed the Vaulderie the Fanum was being attacked by the Black Spirals' own rituals. Cameron went in first, to breach the first ward, the rest of the pack would follow and neutralize the front security staff ahead of the main rush by the Black Spirals. The plan was complicated as the clouds above the Fanum began to take on a blood red hue, which spread as blood through snow. From within the bowels of the Fanum arose a misty blood red figure of Jupiter
Nevertheless, they pressed on - overwhelming the Garou and their helpers by surprise and numbers. Alberto even engaged in the main melee, getting his claws wet.
With that, the Black Sprials began to initiate further rituals within the catacombs of the Fanum and the Sabbat took a spiralling tunnel out of there, Alberto persuading the hot blooded pack to carry on the rampage and take out Gideon Jones.
Meantime, Gideon, Reg, Danior had been meeting with Anthonio to discuss the latest twists in the world of Chicago. Fredegar too met with his old coterie mates to tell them that Menele had spoken with him but Gideon/Mr. Zanzibar warned him from further contact - growing wary as of late of the Methuselah. He planned to meet his counterpart the next night at an exhibition.
But when they saw Jupiter, hovering over the sky in Chicago they raced to investigate. The scene outside was of a minor trashing - but the door was closed. The giant figure loomed over them, seemingly disregarding them - but not entirely as Mr Zanzibar was struck by a bold of lightning that was more surprising than painful.
They managed to break into the antechamber, but not before Anthonio lost his mind again and had to be persuaded to 'guard the Kaisars palace'. Advancing much further was difficult and they struggled to even look at the door. But Zanzibar was never to be deterred - he pressed on, even as a cold numbness crept up his arm as he tried to open it. He shot a hole through the wood and made a hole large enough to press through. But as he stepped through then numbness became complete, paralysing the arm, then then head and body completely. Mr Zanzibar fell awkwardly and lay half in and half out. Reg tried to help him out but he kicked and refused to be dragged out. Eventually getting himself completely in and laying there paralysed, listening to voices approaching and considering turning into ash.
Reg and Danior tried to get help from the Camarilla but they got a driveby from Balthazar who persuaded Anthonio to leave with him. Reg headed back off to Gary but halfway down the Interstate his windshield turned into a spider's web of cracks as a bullet impacted his chest. Reacting with his mortal instincts he jerked the wheel and Boris went into a spin, hit the kerb and rolled onto its roof.
