The Edge of Space

The year is 2259, the name of the place is Babylon 5. Six humans and aliens find themselves thrown together in an unlikely grouping.

Most had only recently arrived on the station and initially they set out to find work. Karden found it had to avoid falling into old habits. Each in turn was approached by a lawyer representing an exploration company known as IPX. After some convincing they were all recruited for an expidition to the Rim aboard the "Horizon" a pathfinder class private exploration vessel. The expedition took them to the distant Rim after many games of squash and jumping to hyperspace from Hyach space. There they discovered a small planet rich in Quantium-40 but infested with a dangerous mold that devoured everything. The expedition returned to known space and docked at the human colony Beta 9 with samples of rock and mold. IPX were pleased and rewarded them all before putting them aboard a luxury cruiser liner "The Robinson" on route to Babylon 5.

Cold Equations

After several days aboard the Robinson the cruise liner was suddenly attacked by unknown assailants in hyper space. The six from the Horizon managed to escape aboard a short range landing shuttle just before the liner was destroyed. Several other passengers also escaped including an old centauri who gave them the mission of retrieving some documents for him and passing them along to Londo Mollari on Babylon 5. The old centauri died and the shuttle was eventually rescued. Once on Babylon 5 the race was on. Despite sabotage of the shuttle, attacks by organised criminals from downbelow and being hunted by the acting security chief they manage to get the documents. However shortly after handing them over they are once again stolen by a Psi Core agent Mr Jones who has been influencing Babylon 5 security. The characters begin looking for Mr Jones only to find him dead in his quarters and the files gone. Using the telepathic abilities of an unstable human boy they eventually find the killer hidden in a secret room downbelow. The killer in an Earth Force intelligence agent Mr Grey who is compiling evidence against a consipiracy involving Psi Core and Earth Gov. He lets them take the documents and return them to Londo. He also promises to be in touch if he needs their help.

A Fiery Trial

A few weeks pass and the unlikely group split up and go their own ways spending their rewards. Jill takes a job as a messenger, Nakir and Ja'Kruse work together as secuirty guards and the Professor lives the high life waiting for his next IPX assignment. Whilst walking in the gardens one evening the Professor is approached by an attractive women "Alison Fernandez" who tells him that her employer wishes his services for a rescue expedition and that he should by at the Nova 9 Pub tomorrow night. Jill also encounters the woman late at night returning from a long shift making deliveries she offers a job that pays much better than being a messenger. Jill agrees to come to the meeting. Nakir and Ja'Kruse are working a night shift guarding an insignificant store room for the "Palisade" security company when am man arrives "Dave McCullough" he offers them a better job than doing pointless security for what is likely a corrupt company.

The four all attend a meeting at the Nova 9 Pub (a quaint english themed place with darts and pool only serving ale and burgers) They are met by Alison and Dave and also their boss "Roland Anderson". Mr Anderson explains that an archeological expedition has gone missing is Descari space and he wants a team to go and find out what has happened. After hearing of the Horizon expedition their names came up. He offers a reasonable wage and all expenses covered. The four all agree in the end to go, including the professor who has recieved special dispensation from IPX to work for Mr Anderson. The night concludes with darts pool and ale.

The next day Nakir, the Professor, Ja'Kruse and Jill join Alison and Dave aboard "Liberties Fortune" a small pinnace piloted by "Rasheed". The Pinnace departs quickly and Lawrence sets up a zero-G squash game in the cargo hold. After a day or so in hyperspace the Liberties Fortune reaches the T'Lad'Tha System and the transfer point into Descari space. The transfer point is patrolled by a Drazi Sunhawk cruiser which demands a search of the pinnace. A Drazi boarding party rudly search the Liberties Fortune before leaving with out much explanation.

The liberties fortune recieves permission to continue into Descari space and they pinnace continues on towards the Levana system on the far side of Descari space near the boarder with the Llort.
