The distant hazy sun past its zenith and dipped towards the horizon, dark shadows lengthened in the fresh snow.

The DCAP agents completed their meeting with Project Supervisor Conrad Ivanov, having reported their findings at the police station and at Club Ragnorock. Agent Hurst suggested a late lunch. After a short attempt at getting a place in the union silver service restaurant the agents ate in the main canteen.

They then all separated to go make adjustments to equipment and gear, adaptations to their sidearms and the beging of the construction of a prototype droid. Dr Volyova decided to see if there were any available experimental prototypes ready for field testing. The drunken requisitions officer Boris Smirnov dug out a sub dermal microrocket launcher with a 4000 page manual. Then made Volyova sign a large stack of disclaimers and liability waivers, including confirmation she had read the manual. On her way back to the lab she encountered Assistant Director Dr Yankovich transporting a heavily guarded metal coffin to his lab.

"Ah, Volyova, I was just going to contact you. I am about to begin Stage 2 of the drug experimentation, if you and you amalgam would care to witness the experiments please join me in the lab as soon as possible."

The amalgam accepted Yankovichs offer and gathered in a partitioned lab one side filled with monitoring equipment and screens and the other through one way glass was a bare clinical chamber. In the centre of the chamber hung a body from chains, hands and feet sealed in metal boxes, and the face covered by a metallic mask. Various monitors attached them selves to the naked haemavore including several blood drips. Yankovich slowing gives the creature an increasing dosage of the blood drug. The creature becomes more and more violent and agitated eventually entering a frenzied state and beyond, all the while increasing in strength and speed. Eventually the creature breaks free of the chains in a blur of flesh and blood and collapses to the floor convulsing. Dr Yankovich gives the creature one last massive dosage and steps out of the room, all that remains is a streak of blood and ash across the glass.

Agent Hurst received a call from Internal Affairs Officer Ashenka and after bullying the secretary got and appointment to meet her. Taking Volyova with him they went straight to the police HQ. Finding Ashenka's office they began questioning her and using subtle psychology and brain wave monitoring to establish the truth. It seems she was clueless as to the real killer but was going to set up Detective Rushnikev in the hopes of furthering her career and covering up the events. As the querying continued the phone began to ring, almost simultaneously the all the agents received a message calling for and emergency code red671 briefing. Listening in on the phone conversation Hurst established that there had been another incident.

The briefing was quick at the UMC, another incident at Bar Mrika police are on their way, agents are to take control investigate the scene and recover any witnesses.

On the way agent Zukov and agent Hurst implement their chemical sniffer to detect the blood drug. The sniffer detects a large quantity as they approach the Bar. The streets around the bar are chaos, police, ambulances and even firetrucks are haphazardly pulled up amongst a crowd of nosy on lookers. Hurst spots Rushnikev desperately trying to organize the chaos, and after some manipulation claims first inspection of the crime scene whilst Rushnikev establishes a perimeter. The five agents enter the bar Pietr steps out again the extreme scene of blood and violence too much. Instead he assists controlling and "moving Along" the onlookers and unneeded emergency services. Inside the others control the chocking stench of death and blood and begin to investigate the scene.

Zukov establishes that several attackers Haemavores in the centre of the room began the attack and there was some return fire from behind the bar the where turned to ash. In a back room there was a stash of melee weapons and firearms as well as several smashed vials of the crystalline drug substance. Volyova and Hurst find a man still alive in a WC cubicle. Rocking back and forth in shock, they clam him and then begin extracting him back to the UMC. Zukov also finds a safe in the back room, which he blasts open with his implant plasma cannon. Recovering more of the drug as well as invoices showing transactions between the bar and a local blood bank.

The agents return to HQ with the collected evidence and live witness who is taken up to Dr Yankovich's interrogation suit. strapping the subject into a mind projection device Yankovich lets Pietr and Hurst take over the interrogation. They first establish his name Dimity Egorov, they then start querying his confused subconscious memory. He relives the attack as a fight break out between vampires in the bar and they begin to slaughter everyone. He does remember mention of a blood bank though. As he relives the memories his stress level increase and suddenly he is glowing with a internal light, a shock wave expands from him known some to the ground fire lashes around him and the glow intensifies and then with a pop he is gone and the room is dark. The blaring of alarms can be heard through out the complex and several armed cyborg guards burst through the door. Yankovich looking shocked and puzzled waves them away and then making his excuses leaves to report to the Moscow symposium.
