[Sorry its been awhile, I hope I can remember everything that happened last session, if I miss anything or get things mixed up just comment it]
In almost slow motion agent Zukov leapt through the open hatch, agents Krenyenko, Olav and Volyova watched as again Zukov jumped down the main drill shaft of the UMC oil platform they were investigating. The hairs prickled on the backs of their necks as the PK meter continued to register high levels of deviant activity confirmed by the distant banging and clanging as well as the sudden changes in temperature. Agent Hurst was still making his way back from the nearby town of Kyr where he had been interviewing the staff of the rig, hearing their stories of ghosts and other paranormal activities which lead to the operations strike, the helicopter landed in the ever worsening weather lighting blazed on the horizon as he made his way down the the drilling shaft access hatch and the other agents. Zukov leapt into the narrow maintenance shaft regular naked lamps lit the way down into the distance far below occasional glass portholes gave a view out into the depths of the rough seas of the Finish Gulf. For several seconds he free fell then the ever present banging, clanging and faint voices drew into a shriek of pure malice, something slammed into the outside of the drill shaft rocking the entire platform as the lights flicked out leaving the shaft in darkness. Zukov slowed his decent using wrist device the nullify the local gravitational field. All his mundane devices seemed to have also stopped operating including communications with those above. As he began to rise back up to the hatch something large passed by one of the portholes.
Meanwhile above the other agents began running local scans, querying the resident benign and slightly malfunctioning AI EARL, and searching for the source of the collision. Volyova conducted life scans identifying a large biological entity 60 meters long and several meters in diameter swimming around the legs and drop shafts of the rig, however further mind scans produced very anomalous readings. Hurst arrived on the scene as Zukov reached the hatch once more. Stepping out and closing the hatch suggesting they leave the platform. As the hatch slammed shut and the locking wheel was turned, all hell breaks loose around them, all the access hatches into the room slam shut and lock every non fix object in the room including diving equipment and tools begin to fly about the room in a chaotic manner, the shaft hatch flies open again and a howling shriek fills the agents ears.
Dodging fling objects Volyova and Hurst attempt to escape the room only to find the exit hatches seal and unmovable, even as Zukov attempts to close the shaft hatch. The flying objects become more hazardous and one of the agents is hit by and oxygen tank and another is pierced by a screwdriver. Zukov gives up on closing the hatch as turns his plasma cannon on the locked exit, with Krenyenko also firing laser pulses at the door they blast a hole but as soon at the steam and molten metal clears something heavy slams behind the door and more water beings to flow into the room reaching the lip of the shaft hatch and pouring down into the darkness. Suddenly and overwhelming need to get into the shaft possesses agents Krenyenko and Olav. Rookie agent Olav leaps through the hatch without a seconds thought and disappears into the darkness shortly followed by Krenyenko even as he loses conciousness. Zukov quick to responds also leap after them accelerating to catch up with Krenyenko as ghostly faces look on through the portholes. Zukov catches the unconscious form of Krenyenko but is unable to rise back to the to of the shaft as an invisible force pushes down from above. He resigns to descend to the bottom where the shaft opens out into a bell like chamber. As quickly as it all began the chaos ends the water filling the room above disappears the doors stay shut but the objects drop to the floor and the lights running down the drill shaft come back to life along with communications equipment.
A hum and vibration starts under the metal floor beneath Zukov's feet and the bell chamber is lit up. In the centre the drill continues down into the seabed three secured hatches lead off from the chamber each with a electronic biometric lock. Near where Zukov has landed with Krenyenko lies the crumpled and barely alive form of agent Olav. Agents Volyova and Hurst begin the long descent down to the chamber constantly checking on the position of the large sea creature. Zukov melts a hole in the floor find and bank of primium generators feeding power out under the sea bed.
Volyova stabilises Olav as best she can be he still needs immediate medical attention and manages to restore Krenyenko to consciousness. The agents begin to investigate the three exits, the biometric locks are easily hacked and three under ground passages lit by sickly green emergency lights lead to three pressurised glass domes set on the sea bed. The first dome is filled with scientific deep sea monitoring instruments, communications banks and computer systems covered with polythene dust sheets. The computers come alive and the sound of systems booting up fills the room. Hurst immediately begins hacking the system and retrieving research data and and log files. Identifying this as a secret research facility run by Dr Yankovitch and Void engineer Radavan Kosmovich. The second dome is raised off the sea bed and contains a large diving pool. The dome is lined with bright yellow diving drones and deep sea exploration equipment bristling with sensors and manipulator arms. The third dome and largest is a large multilevel progenitor lab. Several tanks are scattered around the room some empty others overflowing with mutated alga and others containing deformed sea creatures. Computers and instruments fill most of the rest of the room along with a small sleeping area. Volyova quickly searches the room and finds an electronic tablet belonging to Yankovich. The data is corrupt but some entires are still accessible:
“Entry 2067: The disturbances to our work are becoming increasingly frustrating. Again we have lost power and with the power loss several specimens have died. I am so close to finishing my work here”
“Entry 2074: I have released project Sleshka from the containment tank although only 20ft long I hope the creation will grow.”
“Entry 2078: Radavan believes the entities are becoming more coporeal, they have become bolder as well before it was just minor annoyances now I have seen their faces and I know they are the dead specimens. We must try to capture one for further study.”
“Entry 2086: Our experiments lead in interesting new directions with some minor adjustments to Sleshka's neural pathways."
"Entry 2090: The others are dead and Radavan has left me here alone, all my specimens have been tampered with and my assistants have all died in horrible ways, I’m afraid I may be next. I have sent a request to the union for more assistance.”
“Entry 2092: The union has ended my funding here and are recalling me back to Moscow….”
Looking from the upper mezzanine of the lab across the ocean floor Zukov notices several power lines stretching off from the domes and down into a deep chasm half a kilometre away. Agent Hurst sends out one of the deep sea drones to investigate the chasm, the drone makes its way across to the chasm which is enormous disappearing off in both directions. The drone descends to the bottom and finds the entire floor covered by evenly spaced black storage containers connected together by power lines. Zukov and Hurst decide to take a closer look and dive into the depths whilst Volyova and Krenyenko begin the ascent up the drill shaft with the dying Olav. The divers find one container which has been breached running several scans they find the container filled with mutated and malformed bodies of all shapes and sizes. Their attention is drawn back to the rig as the giant eel like creature begins to wrap itself around the drill shaft containing the other agents.
Zukov and Hurst rush to Volyova and Krenyenko's aid using hypertech to form air bubbles and phase through the shaft walls. The creature rips the shaft apart and even as a weight of crushing water flows into the shaft Zukov pulls those inside out into the relative safety of the bubble. The agents then turn their focus to the creature using several well aimed shots the giant mutant creature is eviscerated. The amalgam reaches the surface, Mikhail drops a ladder down from the helicopter and then speeds ("As ALWAYS the Fastest") to the nearest hospital to get Olav into medical care before taking the rest of the group back to the UMC headquarters in Moscow.
The amalgam is debriefed by Supervisor Conrad and Mr Umbridge, during which concerns about both Radavan and Yankovich are expressed. The amalgam is advised to take some time to recover and conduct investigations closer to base, Olav in critical condition is transferred into Dr Vlads care.
[Down Time]
Agent Krenyenko begins conducting investigations into the Void Engineer Radavan Cosmovitch and his where abouts. It appears he has been transferred away from the UMC and is no longer available. Dr Volyova takes up Dr Vlads offer and assists in his cloning labs learning much from Vlad until one day he is refused entry without explanation. Meanwhile agent Hurst is continuing his secret investigations of Dr Vlad monitoring the activity in his lab several events of interest are recorded: Vlad conducts and second autopsy of the captured live shape shifter, seemingly deep mental analysis and destructive neural manipulation. He seems very interested in the amalgams operations accessing mission files and making copies of the Hit-Mark data banks. Volyova begins working closely with him on several projects. He receives orders to produce "Virus T56" shortly before cancelling all other ongoing projects and restricting access to his lab. Over the next few days he discovers unknown information that seems to irritate him more and more finally he makes an out burst of "I must eliminate him PERMANENTLY". An agent comes to his labs and takes a case of vials from Vlad (Containing the T56 Virus). Vlad continues the heightened lab security and begins working on and unknown secret project which he is including in his daily lab and operational reports.
Zukovs meeting with the Symposium: Zukov is brought into the DCAP board room and audio only conference has been set up with the Moscow symposium. A calm female voice comes over the speakers denying Zukovs request to access locked files pertaining to the retrieved stolen artefact, however the symposium think its safer to keep the item at the main HQ rather than return it to a storage facility. It is left under Zukovs care and he is to watch from anyone paying undue attention to the item or asking too many questions whilst maintaining FULL SECURITY MEASURES. Zukov as request information about Yankovich to which the response is that Yankovich is with the symposium work on a classified operation, and he has their full trust, suggestions of corruption are dismissed as their is no evidence, however when asked about the facility on the floor of the ocean the response is that "THERE IS NO SUCH PLACE YOU WOULD DO WELL TO REMEMBER THAT AND TELL THE REST OF YOU AMALGAM!". Finally the symposium turns the questioning around and queries Zukovs bypassing of UMC communication security protocols.
