Zukov and Volyova had been out of contact for over 10 minuets and Hurst was getting anxious, agent Krenyenko was absent leaving himself and Oleg topside. The silence of the bookshop above added to the increasing tension, the unconscious bodies of the owners already taken away to the UMC Riverside facility by the clean up crew. Hurst began reprogramming Zukovs "Hunter-Seeker" with more than a little of Olegs help, then they sent it back down under the sewer to search the area and report back on Zukov and Volyova position. Time passes and the "Hunter-Seeker" does not return. Hurst calls up the Surveillance team on the comms, who report that there is not geological or structural record of there being anything by solid rock below the sewer in this sector of the city. Hurst finally gives in a contacts Project Supervisor Conrad Ivanov who sends the requested backup team along with void engineer and dimensional science expert Radavan Cosmovitch. The back up teams arrive on mass breaking the silence of the night, a team of four agents and two Hit-Marks arrive in the sewers. Radavan sets up his equipment around the hole confirming that the space time continuum has be distorted, he also provides communications equipment capable of keeping in contact beyond the threshold of the distortion. Hurst sets up the co-ordination and the agents prepare to go in. A noise from the entrance draws the attention of the teams, a head begins to appear through the threshold. Hurst orders the Hit-Marks to subdue the person rising from the hole. The Hit-Marks engage their tazers and open fire the stunned figure falls from back down into the hole, Hurst orders the teams to follow.

The bottom of the hole opens up into a bell shaped chamber the wall and floor carved from natural rock. In the centre of the chamber one of the Hit-Marks secures an unconscious white robed figure, red marks on the head where the tazer hit. The second Hit-Mark is securing the single passage way leading out of the chamber. Time fragmented, the first hit-mark was frozen still as six robed figures charge into the chamber Luther fires wildly at the moving blurs as Oleg deploys his new implant plasma cannon and fires. Both their hearts seem to skip a beat as the chamber becomes a blur of motion Hurst finds himself pinned against the wall a knife to his throat. He dodges to the side and is left holding a severed arm as Oleg fires plasma from the other side of the chamber. The only person seemingly unaffected by the time distortions is Radavan. Time changes pace again and the two find themselves alone the sounds of battle having moved away further down the passage. The agents followed the passage to a much larger chamber. In the centre stood a free standing arch way of ancient design, a shimmering distortion filling the gatway. On the far side of the chamber was an alter carved out of the rock with various esoteric items. The chamber was divided up into pools of time Radavan am his opponent locked in a blurring brawl other agents moving at half the speed of their attackers. A wave of distortion spreads across the room Oleg dodges but Hurst is caught in the time tide and slows to a snails pace. Oleg pounces forth towards the arch where the bound forms of Zukov and Volyova lie face down. A Hit-mark appears on a ledge above the scene and begins firing wildly its control systems malfunctioning, plasma fire pulses down from above destroying the arch sending molten rock flying in all directions. The distortion in the core of the arch folds into a sphere which rapidly expands before collapsing to nothing with a ear shattering bang and a shock wave that sends all standing to the floor.



Agents Hurst, Zukov, Volyova, Krenyenko and Oleg are sat eating lunch in the UMC canteen. Krenyenko seems to be discussing the recent mission to recover stolen artefacts, the group looks at each other confused and disorientated, ignoring Krenyenko they caught up on the events that lead to them being here at this table almost 2 weeks before the events at the bookshop. A call is put into Radavan but he has no memory of the events at the temple. He comes down and meets the amalgam in the canteen offering to look into and time distortion surrounding them. As they leave the canteen to go up to Radavan's labs they find themselves throw further back in time. Zukov relives a fusion reactor disaster aboard a orbital around Autochthonia. Hurst finds himself back at the Kremlin investigating corrupted agents. Volyova found herself lying in a progenitor lab, doctors taking samples from her for a cloning projects. Oleg found himself back at the academy hanging out with the other students even taking some trippy progenitor drugs. The agents continued to regress through their lives until after reliving their births they found themselves back in the chamber the room still and the robed mages gone the archway shattered, Radavan believes they have been caught in a time distortion and have been sent back approximately 1000 years. After attempting to rebuild the arch and building up massive amounts of paradox the amalgam turn to Radavan who suggests that he may build a new time gate using the arch but will require materials. The amalgam leaves the cavern finding the sewer transformed into a deep and overgrown cave amidst a dense forest. A quick scan establishes the nearest copper deposits in a vaguely familiar mountain range.

The group set off but quickly encounter an incident on a nearby track. A monk and a woman in rags are being assaulted by several men armed with rusted swords, Zukov and Hurst not wanting to interfere with the time line ignore the scene and head onwards to the copper deposit, however Volyova and Oleg find it harder to ignore. Oleg deploys his plasma cannon and begins to open fire on the bandits, however the power supply malfunctions and his arm explodes in a shower of metal and flesh. The weird appearance of an outlandish figure with and exploding arm spooked the bandits who fled into the forest. Dr Volyova helps the collapsed woman, the monk talking in a strange Russian dialect pleads for Volyova's assistance in helping him get the woman to a nearby monastery. Oleg has disappeared off after Zukov for an emergency repair job and Hurst realising the damage Volyova could be causing to the time continuum heads back to catch her up, finding her helping the woman and monk along the track. Hurst argues with Volyova and sends the monk off ahead as the argument continues they both notice the approach of several horsemen, dropping the unconscious woman in the road they dive into the dense undergrowth and lie watching the approaching men. Four men on horseback dismount near the fallen woman looking around they quickly find Volyova and Hurst's track leading into the forest and begin to follow, both bolt from their hiding place and run deeper into the woods, Hurst'c cloak makes him disappear into the forest and loose those chasing him however Volyova was less able to loose the men and whilst her modified body made her faster, she dodged as arrows flew past her ear but the dense forest slowed her down and eventually was run down by the men and rendered unconscious with a blow to the head. Zukov reached the mountains and drew the copper deposit out using his matter conversion glove creating a cube of pure copper, however the transport of the copper proved more challenging leaving Zukov with two left feet.

Volyova awakens in a plain cell with the monk nearby wiping her forehead with a damp cloth. He apologises for the attack but the men thought her and Hurst were responsible for attacking the woman on the track, he demands that she rest and eat a meal with the abbot before she sets off to find her companions. The meal was a simple vegetable and meat broth, the abbot thanked Volyova and told her that the woman was in the late stages of pregnancy and had come to the monastery to give birth to her child. After the meal she leaves freely and returns to the caverns where the others are in the process of manufacturing a time gate. With the gate complete Radavan attempts to open a wormhole across the space time continuum back to modern Moscow. He tweaks the jury rigged equipment one last time then kicks in the primium energy power pack from Zukovs plasma cannon. The copper wire glowed with energy, then the device overloaded and in another explosion destroying the arch the device was destroyed and Radavan gone. The amalgam rested and considered their next move.

A noise from the cavern entrance drew the groups attention, a robed figure appears at the entrance, Zukov meets him and he is surprised to find others here in the cavern. Zukov quickly establishes that he is a precursor to the traditional mages of the modern era, but he seems friendly if a little too curious. Zukov leads him through to the others and gives the signal, a dart hits him in the neck and he falls down with a look of shock and betrayal. The group discuss what to do with him and in the end decide to bring him round and find out if he can help them get back to the future. The instant he comes round he begins chanting and suddenly the amalgam find themselves displaying a friendly disposition to the man. After questioning the group he discovers they are from the future and accepts it as the truth he promises to guide them to a spirit talker friend who may be able to find an entity capable of returning them to their correct time line. He fetches them clothes and they set off with what he promises as a brief stop at the monastery. The amalgam waits outside whilst the mage enters the monastery built at the base of the plateau where the cairn existed in the future. As the amalgam waited for the mage they spot the black robed priest from the original cavern and one of his acolytes sneaking into the monastery. Acting quickly they take out the acolyte but the black robe leaps the wall and escapes into the monastery, Volyova gives chase against the advisement of the group.



Inside the monastery Volyova finds several dead monks and sounds of combat from inside, right on the heals of the black robe she bursts into the room to find more dead monks and the black robed mage leaping towards the bed where the woman lies with her new born child, Bogdan Knoss. The light in the room changes as Volyova enters the scene slows and a dark shadow coalesces in the rafters and crown of showy thorns and glowing cralien eyes stare down. A shadow hand tears the black robed mage from reality before turning its ancient attention onto Volyova and flinging her forwards through time.

The rest of the amalgam find their way back to the caverns with their captive mage and as they begin to awaken the mage for interrogation the same shadows take control and the group are frozen in terror before being also flung through time. The amalgam lands heavily in the damp sewer below the bookshop unsure of how much time has past.
